Wall of Recognition I had the privilege of nominating and recognizing Rachel Owens at the Wall of Recognition ceremony located at Colonel Bill Barber Marine Corps Memorial Park. Rachel has used her time, talent and treasure to support the needs of Irvine and beyond. She founded the Orange County National Association of Women Business Owners and the Cal State Fullerton Family Business Council. She served on the Irvine Senior Citizens Council and the Orange County Senior Advisory Council. Rachel continues to be an inspiration and a leader through her involvement in our community. It was a pleasure to be a part of this special event recognizing community leaders who have helped shape Irvine and establish a foundation of excellence for future generations. Memorial Day On Memorial Day, we humbly remembered the service and sacrifice of our soldiers who have fallen in the line of duty to protect this country. It is a day of great significance as many Irvine families mourn the loss of their loved ones. My deep condolences go out to the families whose loved ones never returned home. It is truly necessary that we always commemorate their commitment and appreciate how blessed we are to have the freedoms we enjoy today. A special shoutout and big thank you to the Concordia Brass Quintet for your beautiful performance at Colonel Bill Barber Marine Corps Memorial Park. To watch the full ceremony, click here.
