SUMMER CONCERTS Join us Saturday, August 17 to hear DW3 perform R&B and Soul music at Mike Ward Community Park. Last week, we had an incredible time with the community in Woodbridge listening to 1969 the Tribute perform classic ‘60s rock and roll! Arrive early to hang out with friends and family, grab a bite to eat from the food trucks, and stop by our booth to say hello to the team! Bring low-back chairs or blankets and enjoy the show on the lawn. Admission is free and the concert begins at 5:30 p.m. Concert events conclude late August, so don’t miss out! TOUR OF CITY HALL
I gave a tour of City Hall to an awesome group of high school students interested in public service. It is so important for young residents to see what their local government does. I answered their questions about the City's day-to-day operations which I hope inspired them to find ways to serve their community long into the future. City Hall features rotating exhibits open for the public to enjoy. Currently, we are featuring Luke Matjas: Tales from the Trails, where Matjas artistically explores the intersection of urban and wild land through captivating design, color, and installation. NATIONAL NIGHT OUT Irvine residents gathered at the Great Park to learn about safety and enjoy a fun night of community at National Night Out. The event featured Irvine police cars, motorcycles, fire engines, and appearances by SWAT and K9 Units. It was a valuable opportunity for children and adults to learn about drug prevention programs, neighborhood watch, and what the Irvine Police Department does to keep our City one of the safest places to live in the United States. We deeply appreciate our local law enforcement and continue to recognize them for their commitment to serving the residents of Irvine.
