Join us this Veterans Day to honor the men and women who have served our country. We are truly thankful for the courage and sacrifice of our service members and the support their families provide for them. The ceremony will take place this Saturday, November 11, at 11:00 a.m. in the Formal Garden at Colonel Bill Barber Marine Corps Memorial Park located at 4 Civic Center Plaza, Irvine. This free event is an opportunity to recognize the valor and sacrifice of our Veterans. Special recognition will be given to local Veterans, Veterans groups, and military organizations. The City is in the planning phase for the highly anticipated new library to be built at the Great Park. As the Great Park Chairman, I had the opportunity to share with The Orange County Register, about this process and the public input that is needed to create an amazing library in Irvine. I envision we build a place where the youth of our city and beyond will be inspired to learn, grow, and to be better citizens whenever they visit. The next town hall will take place on Thursday, November 16, at 6:00 p.m. at the Lakeview Senior Center. We encourage all Irvine residents and community leaders to be part of this conversation so we can create the best library, in the best City, in the largest municipal park in America.
