COUNCILMEMBER MIKE CARROLL MEETS WITH ORANGETREE RESIDENTS  It was a pleasure to meet with the Board Members and President of the Orangetree Master Home Owners Association, the Orangetree Patio Home Owners Association, and Orangetree residents earlier this week regarding a proposed dog park. The City was working to relocate a dog park to their neighboring Oak Creek Community Park when residents of Orangetree reached out to my office and scheduled time to meet with me to express their concerns. I am working with City Staff to ensure the new dog park is relocated (if at all) to a site that is acceptable to our residents. Getting your input is key to my role as your Councilmember, so it is important I hear from you if you ever have any questions. To contact my office, click here

HAPPY DIWALI   Our Diwali event at the Lakeview Senior Center brought together Irvine residents to enjoy a wonderful celebration! Diwali, also known as the Festival of Lights, is celebrated by Hindus, Sikhs, and Jains across the world. It symbolizes the victory of light over darkness. We enjoyed sweet treats, tea, live music, dance performances, and even a fashion show from the different regions to celebration. To find more Irvine Senior Center events, click here.

GEORGIA’S RESTAURANT  Congratulations to Georgia's Restaurant on their Grand Opening in Irvine! They serve delicious soul food including jambalaya, gumbo, chicken and waffles, and so much more. Georgia's Restaurant was inspired by Gretchen Shoemaker, who learned to cook comfort foods from her grandmother and built a successful catering service.
