PRIORITY: PUBLIC SAFETY Councilmember Mike Carroll is keeping Irvine safe to ensure quality of life and enjoyment for our residents is protected. Thanks to our Irvine Police Department, our City is ranked as one of the safest large cities in America for 18 years in a row. Our officers go above and beyond to provide a safe and family-friendly place to live. They actively work to bridge the gap between law enforcement and residents to better understand the needs of the community. GLOBAL VILLAGE FESTIVAL FUN  Great Park Chairman Mike Carroll hopes you and your family were able to attend the 23rd Annual Global Village Festival at the Great Park. Irvine is the most integrated and diverse city in America! The global marketplace was full of handmade art, live music, delicious food, and cultural exhibits highlighting traditions from all around the world. BAFANG DUMPLING GRAND OPENING Congratulations to Bafang Dumpling on opening their new location in Irvine at Walnut and Jeffrey! Bafang Dumpling has served Taiwanese dumplings and potstickers since 1998. With thousands of locations worldwide and only ten in the United States, we are beyond thankful to welcome them here to Irvine! Come try their potstickers, dumplings, noodles, and more. IRVINE VALLEY COLLEGE WALK OF HOPE  Irvine Valley College hosted their Annual Walk of Hope for Suicide Prevention Month, which included a mental health resource fair that my office participated in. This year, Joshua Rivedal, founder of The I’Mpossible Project, shared his story about suicide prevention and the importance of mental health resources. Special thanks to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and numerous other community partners who joined in support of this event. WOODBRIDGE CROSS COUNTRY CLASSIC  This year, Woodbridge High School hosted the 43rd Annual Woodbridge Cross Country Classic at the Great Park! This cross country meet is the nation's largest high school athletic event, bringing in top athletes from 460 high schools across 20 states.
