NATIONAL CHAMPIONS IRVINE STRIKERS Congratulations to the National Champions Irvine Strikers soccer team (U19) for becoming the 2024 MLS Next champions, where 120 teams competed! Strikers FC Irvine is nationally recognized for being one of the best soccer clubs in the country. Under Coach Roy Chingirian's leadership, they triumphed in victory over Cedar Stars Academy. Taj Eagleston's goals, Kaden Gust's penalty saves, and Matteo Salcedo's tournament-winning penalty kick helped the team secure the national title for the first time in their program’s history! EAGLE SCOUT PROJECT  Congratulations to Boy Scout, Andrew Park, on his Eagle Scout Project! Andrew is a member of Boy Scout Troop 1747 - the largest Korean Boy Scout Troop in the country! His contributions to Sierra Vista Middle School included leading his troop along with dozens of volunteers in installing gardens, building a redwood bench, and creating two beautiful murals that reflect the heritage and future of Irvine. My Field Representative and fellow Eagle Scout, Ryan, presented a certificate and shared with them about his experiences as an Eagle Scout. Thank you, Andrew Park and Boy Scout Troop 1747 for honoring our City through your incredible Eagle Scout Project! For more information about Boy Scouts of America, click here.
